Is there anything cuter than a tinny kitten? Maybe there is – an adult tiny cat. Small cat breeds are very interesting to see and keep as pets. Until recently, all the cats that were kept as pets were around the same size – a regular cat size. But now, there are cats of different sizes to choose from, and if you like your pets to be small and playful, these breeds could be the right for you. Most of these cats are great family companions, have wonderful personalities and they are just the same as the bigger cats, with a difference in size. Read on to find out more about these 10 tiniest cat breeds.
This breed’s name is completely justifiable, as it is just like a cute little munchkin. This cat has very short legs, which makes it different from all the other cat breeds out there. A munchkin is actually considered to have naturally mutated legs, and many people refer to it as a cat dwarf instead of looking at it as a miniature cat, mainly because it is not just a smaller cat, but has body parts, i.e. legs that are disproportional with the rest of the body. However, this doesn’t make this cat breed look unappealing, just the opposite – it makes it look amazingly cute.
Munchkins can come in any color, so they cannot be distinguished from other cats by that (although, its legs distinguish it from others quite clearly). They can also have either short or long hair. They are very playful and love spending time with their humans. They are great to be kept in an apartment, as they don’t take up much space and they’re very friendly. Male as well as female munchkins weight up to 10 pounds and due to having short legs, they cannot jump as the other breeds can.
